The Space in Lung Conditions an elearning programme and coaching programme designed for people who are experiencing a chronic lung condition along with depression and anxiety. Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, your will begin to increase awareness and understanding of emotions related to living with lung conditions, while also developing more flexible ways of thinking and motivation in your everyday life.
You will be supported by a real person as you explore the exercises, who will keep you on track and can answer your questions.
Skills and Strategies
You will learn to better understand the relationship between your emotional and physical symptoms so you can ultimately change your physical reactions to improve your mood. You will also lean how your lifestyle choices impacts your anxiety, depression, and overall wellbeing, and how taking part in pleasurable activities can boost your mood.
Positive Thinking
Learning about negative thinking and its impact on one’s mood, you will be able to identify and challenge your unhelpful, negative thoughts and replace them with helpful selftalk. You will also learn to challenge your thinking traps and worry, while facing your fears using gradual exposure.
Forging Ahead
You will walk away with tools and techniques to avoid a relapse by identifying warning signs, better manage your triggers, and set future goals. You will also be encouraged to build a strong support network so you can continue to think and feel better in the future.
